Rick and Joan Hutchison
Rick Hutchison

Founder and president of Barnabas Ministries, Rick has been in active ministry for more than 38 years. He served 25 years in pastoral ministry, and has years of experience in Christian education and evangelistic work. He has served as evangelist in over 150 revivals, camps, and evangelistic services among more than 30 denominations and Christian organizations. He has ministered on numerous college campuses.

Since 2003 he has been full-time with Barnabas Ministries, and is available for evangelistic revivals, camps, and evangelistic meetings, as well as to represent the overseas ministries in which Barnabas is involved.

Rick and his wife, Joan, have been married for 35 years and make their home near Lenoir City, Tennessee. Joan maintains a private music studio where she teaches piano and voice, and serves as staff pianist for a church in their community. They have two adult sons, Richard and Jonathan.

Melvin Adams

In May of 2003 the Rev. Melvin Adams joined Barnabas Ministries as Missions Director. Melvin brings with him a wealth of ministry experience in both Christian education and missionary work. Born to career missionaries, raised on the mission field in Africa, and multi-lingual, Melvin is a natural for mission work. His great passion is to spread the Gospel in new areas and by all means.

After serving as pioneer missionaries in Ukraine for 10 years, Melvin and wife Sandy returned to the U.S. for the education of their six children. They reside in Roanoke, VA, yet still have a heart for missions. Through Barnabas Ministries they maintain an active role in missionary endeavor.
